Feed in Tariff after Brexit

Brexit Secretary David Davis has revealed today that EU negotiators will seek to alter Britain's Feed in Tariff payments based on our geographical location.

Eu Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker is insisting that payments to existing UK installations should reflect the amount of sunshine and the energy generated for community use.

Many of the Mediterranean countries within the EU support this stance and unless agreement can be reached many households will receive considerably less that in the past.

Whilst this is bad news for householders in England and Wales the situation will be considerably worse for anyone with PV panels installed on their roof in Scotland.

Because of the poor climate and relatively low light levels between September and August the Brexit Secretary has resigned himself to payments being withdrawn entirely.

Householder concerned should write to their MP to express their concerns about loss of income from their investment in PV panels.
